Blog housekeeping

Happy new year everyone. I hope you enjoyed a relaxing break over the Christmas period.

Dom Meese - My Piece! is back for another year with a few minor updates.
Firstly, I have added polls to the page. They can be viewed and voted on toward the top right hand side of the home page. Please feel free to vote and have your say. It helps me get a feel for where you readers stand on certain issues and may be an opportunity for me to eat some humble pie! Polls will relate to the latest article and previous poll results can be viewed via the "Previous Polls" page via the tab at the top of the page.

Secondly, you will notice at the bottom of each article four tick boxes labelled:

 - Informative
 - Interesting
 - Boring
 - Rubbish

Feel free to tick either of them after you've read a My Piece! as well as leaving any comments on any posts. Please use the posts as a forum to have your say. Comments come to me for moderation so don't panic if they don't show straight away.

If you enjoy the page, please share it with others. I don't make any money out of it and do it purely for enjoyment. Anyone that knows me knows I enjoy a debate, so the more the merrier!

Thirdly, I have added links to my various social media pages so that you can follow new posts on Dom Meese - My Piece!. Alternatively, you can follow by utilising the links toward the top left of the page by liking the page on Facebook, following on Twitter or Bloglovin or follow by email. The latter is handy if you enjoy the page but find it cumbersome having to visit to see if any new content has been added. You will simply receive an email when a new post goes up.

Speaking of new posts, I am going to trial posting more short, punchy posts providing a quick overview and point of view on certain issues. These will be separate to the usually longer, analytical opinion pieces. If anyone follows Andrew Bolt's blog, you'll get an idea of what I am talking about.

I am hoping to post at least once a week with a detailed, analytical piece every one to two weeks. Forgive me if things go a little quiet in three or so weeks. My wife and I are expecting our second child and will have more important things to do than write to you lot!

I hope 2015 is a prosperous and exciting year for everyone.

All the best,
